Celebrate Diwali at The Bombay!

 
Known as the biggest and of course brightest of all Hindu festivals,Diwali , The Festival of Lights is finally here. This annual tradition of celebrating the triumph of good over evil , light over darkness is deeply embedded in the hearts of all Hindus all over the world. And even if you're far away from home, far away from India, far away from your family, you should still celebrate Diwali. why ? Because Life is worth celebrating and beautiful traditions are worth keeping.

On the 2nd and 3rd November, we invite you all to come celebrate Diwali with us at The Bombay, Marco Polo's jewel Indian restaurant. Our chefs are preparing quite a feast featuring a grand buffet plus live cooking stations of all time favorites, Chaat, Stuffed Tawa Paratha and who can resist the sweet Jalebi with Rabdi. Timings is from 7:00pm til midnight at Dhs59- per person. 








Located on the mezzanine floor of the Marco Polo Hotel , this Indian treasure has been serving up authentic gustatory delights for more than 10 years now. From succulent lamb to juicy tikka and mouth watering Biryani. That's more than a decade now that  the Bombay at Marco Polo has been part of many  a celebration. Parsi Food Festival



For Indian food connoisseurs, our  Parsi Food Festival is an opportunity to savour delectable Parsi originals that are reminiscent of the golden Mumbai-Parsi times. 

This festival conducted by Marco Polo Hotel annually in the month of March is celebrated close to the celebration of the Iranian New Year or Nawrouz. The festival relives the dishes that were popular during the golden Mumbai time where many Parsi Indians would gather with families to dine together and partake the best dishes prepared with care and dedication.

Rampuri Food Festival at The Bombay

Savour the fine flavors of cinnamon in the meat , taste that hint of sandalwood in the Baingan Ka Bharta............

 From the appetizers like the Sambhal Ki Seekh , the Paya Potil Shorba  or the Bhune Meve Ka Shorba with its subtle yet unique flavors, the Tehri  and Teh Biryani cooked in layers for hours over slow flame, these are just a preview of the magic being created in the kitchens of The Bombay, Marco Polo's Classic Indian Restaurant.
 
From 12th to 22nd December, we have invited over from India highly specialized "Bawarchis" for Marco Polo Hotel's first ever, Rampuri Food Festival. Chef Rehman , our celebrity chef and his team of Khansamas will surely bring the magic and grandeur of the Rampuri cuisine to all our patrons at The Bombay

Happy Diwali 2012

Diwali or Deepavali ,popularly known as the "festival of lights," is a five day festival which starts on Dhanteras, celebrated on thirteenth lunar day of Krishna paksha (dark fortnight) of the Hindu calendar month Ashwin and ends on Bhaubeej, celebrated on second lunar day of Shukla paksha (bright fortnight) of the Hindu calendar month Kartik. In the Gregorian calendar, Diwali falls between mid-October and mid-November.
Diwali is an official holiday in India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Mauritius, Guyana, Trinidad & Tobago, Suriname, Malaysia, Singapore and Fiji. (Source:Wikipedia)
