In this time and age of gadgets and apps, we at the Marco Polo Hotel acknowledge the emergence of a new need from our tech savvy guests. Ever listening and anticipating, we have noticed that most guests now come with at least more than one gadget. From the cell phone, digital cameras, tablets, laptops and even gaming gizmos for the kids, these have become part of the necessities to bring on a business trip or vacation. All these come with its own corresponding charger and wire connections so you can just imagine the additional baggage it has created. Plus keeping track of all these can sometimes lead to stressful situations, something we most certainly do not want for our guests.

Introducing:      “THE TECH BAR”

What is the TECH BAR?

The TECH BAR is our answer to the new travelers’ woes.  You never have to worry about not having brought your charger or connection wires like VGA cable, USB micro cable, A/V cable etc.  All these you can easily acquire for very nominal charges from the TECH BAR found right in your room.  Just like the traditional minibar that caters to guests' needs for food and drink, the Tech bar addresses another kind of appetite. All the cable connections you need for your gadgets within arms reach. All this was thought of and conceptualized with the modern traveler in mind, consistent with Marco Polo‘s thrust at being a “Technology Friendly Hotel“.   

When we began the planning process for the refurbishment of the hotel guestrooms in 2009, the main focus was to make sure that each room was modern and technology friendly. By that we mean, it must be ready to accommodate the new traveler, the businessman with his laptop, tablet, android phone as well as the family on vacation with their digital cameras, video cams, video games for the kids etc. All rooms now feature a MEDIA HUB, a central port for connecting digital devices to the LCD TV as well as serving as a recharging station, very conveniently located on the writing desk.

Free internet,  Media Hub facilities as well as the newly introduced , Tech Bar in all guestrooms, we are definitely ready for the travelers of today.
