For the past three years, come December 12, Marco Polo Hotel staff, led by Mr Renhil Krishnan,F&B Director and Mr Vinay , Asst.F&B Manager, has participated in the Emirates Environmental Group Clean Up UAE Drive. Fully committed to the responsibility of giving back and taking care of our environment, the volunteers of Marco Polo staff collected more than 30 bags of trash at Nad Al Sheba from 8am till noon. Some staff had even been working till 3am the night before and went straight to the event.
The huge turn-out was inspired by the call of EEG chairperson Habiba Al Mar’ashi urging all residents of the UAE to make it their responsibility to take active part in the Clean up UAE. She added, “A symbolic event that underscores our commitment to the environment of this county. Whether national or expatriate, young or old, man or woman, we owe it to this country, to protect the fragile environment that we live in. What we do today will decide how our future will be, it is really in our hands.”
